He documents the everyday lives of workers in brick kilns. In collaboration with them, he seeks forms of representation to address exploitation and oppression.
“These sets of photos are about a love marriage that happened in the brick kiln factory. Both the bride and groom were labourers in the same kilin, fell in love and were married off by the people in the kilin. Amidst all the troubles and challenges of everyday work, love and life goes on. The dark imagination of the privileged that these labourers are victims who don't enjoy life and paint a broody image of them is shattered with such events. Even under the highest level of oppression and suffering the oppressed love, live and enjoy.»

Die Ausstellung am Wolkenhof ist eine Fortsetzung und Weiterentwicklung der Ausstellung „Of Barriers und Distances“, die 2024 in der Gallery Dotwalk stattfand.
Im Sommer 2024 reiste eine Gruppe Künstler:innen aus der Schweiz nach Delhi, um dort fünf Künstler:innen aus verschiedenen Regionen Indiens zu begegnen. Konzipiert wurde das Projekt von dem aus Indien stammenden und in der Schweiz lebenden Künstler und Kurator Parvez. Gastgeber waren die Dotwalk Ajitara Art Residency und die Gallery Dotwalk
Der Titel des Projekts „of Barriers und Distances“ – von Hindernissen und Entfernungen - bezieht sich nicht nur auf die geografische Distanz zwischen Europa und dem indischen Subkontinent, sondern ebenso auf Aspekte historischer, sozialer und kultureller Abgrenzung und deren Überwindung.
Im Zentrum standen Begegnung und Austausch - bei Besuchen von Ateliers, Galerien und Ausstellungsorten in Delhi und in vielen Gesprächen am grossen Esstisch der Dotwalk Ajitara Art Residency.
In Zeiten, in denen die Illusion unbegrenzter Mobilität an der Realität multipler Krisen zerbricht, nimmt die Bedeutung des Austausches über Grenzen und Distanzen hinweg zu.
Die Ausstellung am Wolkenhof setzt den 2024 begonnenen Dialog zwischen den Kunstschaffenden aus zwei Kontinenten fort und macht ihre aktuellen Arbeiten und Themen sichtbar.
Alle Künstler:innen, die an „Of Barriers and Distances“ beteiligt waren, sind auch am Wolkenhof mit Arbeiten vertreten. Sei es auf digitalem Weg aus der Distanz, sei es physisch vor Ort.
Ein Parcours durch den Innen- und Außenbereich des Wolkenhofs lädt ein zu Entdeckungen von Themen zeitgenössischen Kunstschaffens in Indien und in Europa.

Of Barriers and Distances
The exhibition at Wolkenhof is a follow-up and further development of the exhibition ‘Of Barriers and Distances’, which took place at Gallery Dotwalk in 2024.
In the summer of 2024, a group of artists based in Switzerland travelled to Delhi to meet five artists from different regions of India. The project was conceived by Parvez, an artist and curator from India who lives in Switzerland. It was hosted by the Dotwalk Ajitara Art Residency and the Gallery Dotwalk.
The title of the project ‘of Barriers and Distances’ refers not only to the geographical distance between Europe and the Indian subcontinent, but also to aspects of historical, social, and cultural division and how these can be overcome.
The focus was on encounters and exchange - during visits to studios, galleries and exhibition venues in Delhi and in many conversations around the large dining table at the Dotwalk Ajitara Art Residency.
In times when the illusion of unlimited mobility is shattered by the reality of multiple crises, the importance of exchange across borders and distances is increasing. The exhibition at Wolkenhof continues the dialogue between artists from two continents that began in 2024 and makes their current works and themes visible.
All of the artists who were involved in ‘Of Barriers and Distances’ are also represented with works at Wolkenhof. Whether digitally from a distance or physically on site.
A tour through the indoor and outdoor areas of the Wolkenhof invites visitors to discover themes of contemporary art in India and Europe.
